This is fantastic news! It was originally unknown if Jack Black would be reprising his role as real-life horror author R.L. Stine in Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween, but today Sony Pictures has officially confirmed that Black is back in a short video. Watch it below!
In the film, "three friends face an onslaught from witches, monsters, ghouls and a talking dummy after they discover a mysterious book by author R.L. Stine."
The film is directed by Ari Sandel, written by Rob Lieber, and produced by Deborah Forte and Neal H. Moritz. The cast includes Wendi McLendon-Covey (“The Goldbergs”), Ken Jeong (Hangover), Chris Parnell (Anchorman), Madison Iseman (Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle), Ben O’Brien (Manchester by the Sea), Caleel Harris (“Castle Rock”), Jeremy Ray Taylor (IT) and Peyton Wich (“Stranger Things”).
Goosebumps 2 will begin haunting theaters on October 12th!
