Dark Sky Films Releasing 'Possum' In Theaters And On Digital This November

"Can you spy him deep within? Little Possum. Black as sin."

Dark Sky Films has announced that they will be releasing Possum, the directorial debut from Matthew Holness, in theaters and on Digital November 2nd. You can check out the trailer below.

From the producers of The Survivalist and I Am Not a Serial Killer, Possum tells the story of a disgraced children’s puppeteer must confront his sinister stepfather and a hideous puppet he keeps hidden in a brown leather bag in order to escape the dark horrors of his past.

Writen and directed by Matthew Holness, Possum stars stars Sean Harris (Prometheus) and Alun Armstrong (Frontier).

“Possum is a supernatural horror combining the stark psycho-drama of George Romero’s Martin with the uncanny terror of Dead of Night,” Holness enthusiastically described the movie to ScreenDaily. “The film draws on the dark nightmares of silent expressionist horror, British classics such as The Innocents and Don’t Look Now, as well as the claustrophobic suburban gothic of Pete Walker’s Frightmare. Possum will terrify in the best tradition of classic horror cinema, evoking an atmosphere of supernatural dread and creeping horror.”
