We seriously thought that we'd NEVER see Robert Englund as Freddy Krueger again and this episode of "The Goldbergs" could very well be the last. Englund reprises his role as the iconic Springwood Slasher for a special Halloween episode that will air on October 24th, as revealed by Englund himself. On top of all of that, an all-new image gallery has been released, showcasing his return this Halloween season.
In the episode titled “Mister Knifey-Hands",
“Despite Beverly’s wishes, Jackie’s parents allow Adam to watch A Nightmare on Elm Street and a disagreement between the families ensues. But Beverly dreams of facing off with horror icon Freddy Krueger (guest star Robert Englund), which teaches her an important lesson about her son’s relationship with Jackie. Meanwhile, Erica realizes she’s not as popular as she once was as she starts hanging out at William Penn Academy despite the fact she’s no longer a student there.”
Robert Englund calls the episode a "spooky valentine to the fans" and recently tweeted, “Had the pleasure of joining Adam F Goldberg’s ‘80s time machine THE GOLDBERGS for their special Halloween episode. Krueger’s back! It’s Freddy vs Bev!”
