Earlier this year, Ari Aster took the horror world by storm with his debut feature Hereditary. I can guarantee that the film will end up on most, if not all, Top Horror Movie lists of 2018.
The director is looking to wow us all once again with a currently unnamed "pagan horror film" that is set in Scandinavia. Described as "an apocalyptic break-up movie," Aster's new feature is expected to arrive in theaters on August 9th, 2019!
"A couple that travels to Sweden to visit their friend’s rural hometown for its fabled mid-summer festival. What begins as an idyllic retreat quickly devolves into an increasingly violent and bizarre competition at the hands of a pagan cult."
The film currently stars Will Poulter, Vilhem Blomgren, William Jackson Harper, Ellora Torchia, and Archie Madekwe.
