'In Search Of Darkness' Second Kickstarter Stretch Goal Celebrates The Women Of '80s Hor

Currently sitting at $94,261 pledged of the $32,128 goal, it's safe to say that the Kickstarter campaign for the '80s horror documentary, In Search of Darkness is a massive success! With a little over three days to go and the first stretch goal reached, a second (and final) stretch goal has been revealed, highlighting the lovely and iconic ladies of '80s horror.

The second stretch goal will trigger once £90,000 ($117,016.65) is raised. This is definitely a stretch goal to be excited about as it will deliver something thought-provoking and timely that hasn’t been a big focus of other Horror documentaries.

Here are the iconic '80s actresses (plus Daily Dead's Heather Wixson) involved:

  • Barbara Crampton – Actress (Re-Animator, From Beyond)

  • Heather Wixson – Managing Editor at DailyDead.com

  • Adrienne Barbeau – Actress (The Fog, Swamp Thing)

  • Robbi Morgan – Actress (Friday the 13th)

  • Kelli Maroney – Actress (Chopping Mall, Night of the Comet)

  • Dee Wallace – Actress (The Howling, Cujo, Critters)

  • Lisa Wilcox – Actress (Nightmare on Elm Street 4)

  • Caroline Williams – Actress (Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2)

The objective is to celebrate women in horror and hear from them about their experiences, both good and bad, creating some of the most iconic characters in our favorite ‘80s horror movies.

This section will be in addition to the 3+ hours extended version that's already been unlocked with the first stretch goal! So, you’ll hopefully be getting an even bigger and more complete documentary than before.

Additionally, this stretch goal will include multi-language subtitles (Spanish and Italian), which has been a highly-requested feature.

Finally, a Bonus Content section will be added which will include user-generated content created by the film's network of Horror Influencers!
