Fan Film 'Friday The 13th: Vengeance' Is A Sequel To 'Jason Lives' And Fully Funded

With the official Friday the 13th franchise all tied up in legal troubles, maybe Jason Voorhees' future lies in the hands of the fans. Never Hike Alone is a great example of a fan film done right, the film offered something fresh but stuck to the things fans love about their beloved franchise.

Now, upcoming the project, Friday The 13th: Vengeance, hopes to follow course and is definitely on the right track! As of writing this, the film is currently fully funded on Kickstarter and still has 18 days left in the campaign!

Directed by Jeremy Brown, Vengeance is being touted as an (unofficial) sequel to Jason Lives: Friday the 13th Part VI that takes place roughly thirty years after the events of that film.

"The story begins with Elias Voorhees, Jason’s father, returning to Crystal Lake and a string of grisly murders that soon follows his arrival. After hearing the news of the most recent killings Tommy Jarvis then goes missing, which leaves it up to his daughter Angelica Jarvis to rise to the challenge of not only finding her father, but also finding a way to destroy his old nemesis Jason Voorhees in the process. Armed with knowledge never previously known about Jason, Angelica may prove to be his greatest threat yet, which culminates in an epic showdown of Jarvis vs. Voorhees."

The fan film also has a very impressive cast and crew involved with the project, with C.J. Graham (Jason Voorhees in Jason Lives), Tom McLoughlin (director of Jason Lives), and Steve Dash (Jason in Friday the 13th Part 2) all on board.
