Many, many years ago...back in 2013, Robert Rodriguez teased a third Machete film at the end Machete Kills that would see Danny Trejo cutting down bad dudes in space. All these years later, Machete Kills Again in Space still hasn't happened.
In a conversation with Popcorn Talk’s “I Could Never Be,” Danny Trejo assures that the film is still happening.
“Robert’s working on it, it’s gonna be… unbelievably crazy,” said Trejo.
When asked how soon we can expect the film, Trejo told the show, “I would say that… Robert has his own timetable for doing stuff. I know he’s working on a big movie right now.”
