Terribly sad news today, as we report that the very talented, young actress Brittany Belland passed away on Wednesday, November 21st. Out of respect for her friends and family, I will not disclose her cause of death.
Known for her roles in the slasher films The Sleeper and Clowntergeist (aka Fear Itself), she was a major on screen presence and one of the best parts of those films. Belland played relate-able characters that were easy to stand behind and root for.
Outside of the previously mentioned films, Belland starred in multiple sci-fi/fantasy films including Lessons in Accidental Magic, The Many Monsters of Sadness, and Other Versions of You. She also wrote, directed and produced her own short films, Mommy Issues and Bike 4 Sale. Her final film, a horror-thriller titled Anachronic, is set to release in 2019.
This is a devastating blow to the indie horror community and I hope that Brittany has found the peace she deserves. We here at CryptTeaze extend our deepest condolences to her friends and family.
