Blue Underground is wasting no time in restoring two more classic horror flicks! Shortly after releasing brand new 4K restorations of both Maniac and Zombie on Blu-ray, label founder William Lustig has revealed that they are working on restoring the Dario Argento and George A. Romero co-directed Two Evil Eyes and Lucio Fulci's The New York Ripper!
Lustig told Discussions Magazine that both are to receive 4K restorations.
In 1982's The New York Ripper, “A burned-out New York police detective teams up with a college psychoanalyst to track down a vicious serial killer randomly stalking and killing various young women around the city.”
1990's Two Evil Eyes is made up of two tales based on Edgar Allan Poe works. One where“A greedy wife kills her husband, but not completely" and in the other, "A sleazy reporter adopts a strange black cat.”
We'll keep you updated on these restorations as more details are released.
