Recently, rumors had been spreading that the upcoming third season of "Stranger Things," which just wrapped filming, was going to be the final season for the show. Fortunately those rumors have been put to rest, the series will apparently be continuing for at least one more season after the third.
We had originally heard that the series would cap at its fourth or fifth season and according to the show's young star Gaten Matarazzo, that's still the plan.
“I know that [creators] Matt and Ross [Duffer], their goal is not to go as many seasons as possible,” said Matarazzo in a talk with The Telegraaf. “It’s to go until they finish their story, and I’ve heard the magic number is either four or five. We just finished up three – three is not the last one planned.”
Even though we're not entirely certain when the show will end, it doesn't seem that the Duffers plan for it to overstay its welcome.
