It looks like those of you who were upset about this year's Suspiria not opening in a theater near you won't have to wait much longer to see the film! According to Amazon and Blu-ray.com, the film could be arriving on Blu-ray January 29th, 2019 through Lionsgate Home Entertainment.
This means the film will also soon receive a date for VOD and Digital release. Releasing the film on this date makes sense as it's right before the Academy Awards, you know, just in case there’s a nomination.
Sean reviewed the film and says,
"If you're familiar with the original, I don't see how you wouldn't be able to enjoy this beautifully demented upgrade by director Luca Guadagnino."
In the remake:
"A darkness swirls at the center of a world-renowned dance company, one that will engulf the troupe's artistic director (Swinton), an ambitious young dancer (Johnson), and a grieving psychotherapist. Some will succumb to the nightmare. Others will finally wake up."
Suspiria stars Tilda Swinton, Dakota Johnson, Chloë Grace Moretz, Mia Goth, and the actress from the original film, Jessica Harper.
Radiohead’s Thom Yorke composed the score. David Kajganich wrote the film, co-financed by Amazon Studios and K Period Media.
