'Hellboy' Trailer Saves The World Just For The Hell Of It

Hellboy David Harbour Trailer

As promised earlier in the week, the first official trailer for the upcoming Hellboy reboot has arrived! Set to Billy Idol's catchy "Mony Mony," the film honestly seems to be tonally in the same vein as Guillermo del Toro's films, which is peculiar since the film was teased as darker and more violent than previous entries.

Not saying that the film doesn't look like a damn good time, because it does! Who knows, the film could be much darker than the trailer makes it seem to be and it's clear that David Harbour was perfectly cast in the role of the titular character.

Regardless, check out the trailer below along with a new photo from Entertainment Weekly. You won't be disappointed.

Directed by Neil Marshall, Hellboy also stars Milla Jovovich as villainous sorceress known as the Blood Queen, with Ian McShane in the role of Professor Broom and Daniel Dae Kim playing Ben Daimio. Penelope Mitchell as Ganeida; and Sasha Lane as Alice Monaghan with Sophie Okonedo (After Earth), Brian Gleeson (mother!) and Alistair Petrie (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story).

"The new story sees the hero squaring off against a medieval sorceress who seeks to destroy humankind."

Hellboy arrives in theaters and IMAX on April 12th, 2019.
