Today we've learned that Jonas Åkerlund's critically-acclaimed Lords of Chaos, adapted from the now-infamous book by Michael Moynihan and Didrik Søderlind will be released in theaters on February 8th and On Demand beginning February 22nd from Gunpowder & Sky.
"A teenager’s quest to launch Norwegian Black Metal in Oslo in the 1980s results in a very violent outcome. Lords of Chaos tells the true story of True Norwegian Black Metal and its most notorious practitioners – a group of young men with a flair for publicity, church-burning and murder: Mayhem.”
Written by Dennis Magnusson and Åkerlund, Lords of Chaos stars Rory Culkin as Øystein “Euronymous” Aarseth and Emory Cohen as Varg Vikernes as well as Sky Ferreira, Jack Kilmer, and Valter Skarsgård.
Lords of Chaos was produced by VICE, 20th Century Fox, Scott Free Productions, and Insurgent Media.
