Next year marks the 40th anniversary of Ridley Scott's Alien, and we're certain that there are big things planned for the franchise in 2019! One of those being the rumored television series, though we have no confirmation on that topic. This week, the social media accounts are teasing something different.
On the official Alien Anthology Instagram account, there have been three posts (below) made that feature the hashtag "Amanda Ripley," and are a part of a “6-Part Dossier Exposing the Secret History of Weyland-Yutani.” The images also feature the message that “The Alien Universe Expands 2019,” very intreguing to say the least.
Some of you may know that Amanda is Ellen Ripley's daughter and is the protagonist in the video game Alien: Isolation. We did report a while back that Amanda would return next year in the comic book sequel, Alien: Resistance.
We don't think that these posts are related to the comic books, but what could they mean? Only time will tell.
