Back in September, we reported that Zachary Quinto had been cast as Charlie Manx, a seductive immortal who feeds off the souls of children, in AMC's TV series based on Joe Hill's novel "NOS4A2," and today we have your first look at his character via Entertainment Weekly.
EW explains, “The show stars Zachary Quinto as the ancient, supernaturally powered Charlie Manx, who periodically rejuvenates by feeding on the life forces of children as he transports them to a fantasy world he has created called Christmasland.”
The series will air in 2019 as a 10-episode adaptation of Hill's novel, but showrunner Jami O’Brien told the site that he plans to "expand" the world of Hill's books in future seasons.
“There’s no limit to the number of folks that we could meet that have interesting powers and interesting landscapes that they inhabit,” O'Brien explained.
Set in blue-collar New England, “NOS4A2” follows the coming of age of Vic McQueen (Ashleigh Cummings) who discovers she has the power to find lost things. Her gift sets her on a collision course with Charlie Manx (Quinto), a supernatural villain who abducts children in his mysterious Rolls Royce Wraith.
