With a new trailer planned to release tomorrow, Orion Pictures have revealed a new poster for The Prodigy, an upcoming film from Nicholas McCarthy (The Pact, At Devil's Door) that will arrive in theaters on February 8th, 2019.
In her much-anticipated foray into the horror-thriller genre, Taylor Schilling stars as Sarah, a mother whose young son Miles' (IT‘s Jackson Robert Scott) disturbing behavior signals that an evil, possibly supernatural force has overtaken him. Fearing for her family's safety, Sarah must grapple with her maternal instinct to love and protect Miles in favor of investigating what - or who - is causing his dark turn. She is forced to look for answers in the past, taking the audience on a wild ride; one where the line between perception and reality remains blurry.
The poster features the two stars in a family portrait (if you can call it that) with a pair of very mysterious hands resting on Schilling's shoulders, and asks the question; What's wrong with Miles?
Directed by McCarthy from a screenplay by Jeff Buhler (The Midnight Meat Train, Pet Sematary), The Prodigy also stars Peter Mooney (Burden of Truth, Rookie Blue), and Colm Feore (Thor, Pearl Harbor).
Stay tuned for the film's trailer premiere!
