NetherRealm Studios held their big Mortal Kombat 11 reveal event today and dumped buckets worth of bloody information on us!
They kicked things off with a gameplay trailer, which is obviously rather brutal.
It was then revealed that former UFC star and current WWE Raw Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey voiced Sonya Blade in the game. Rousey admits to being a long-time fan of the series and Sonya in general.
Baraka and Skarlet will make their returns in MK 11 and their gruesome fatalities are shown in the gameplay trailer.
A new character, Geras, was later announced, his powers look to be sand-based and he kicks the shit out of Sub-Zero in the aforementioned trailer.
The games beta is scheduled to take place on March 28th and a Kollector's Edition was announced, which includes a replica Scorpion mask.
NetherRealm has also implemented character and weapon customization, much like the system found in Injustice 2.
Finally, a story trailer was released that picks up where Mortal Kombat X left off. It will probably feature a bunch of melodrama and make no sense whatsoever, but looks fun regardless.
You'll be able to experience all of this gory greatness when Mortal Kombat 11 is released on April 23rd for PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
