A decade after Zombieland's release, filming will begin this week on Ruben Fleischer‘s sequel, which will reunite the first film's cast! Ironically, it's rather fitting that we've double posted Zombieland 2 news, as a new poster has been shared on the official Zombieland Twitter account that takes the 10 year challenge and seems to confirm the film's rumored title, Double Tap!
Woody Harrelson, Emma Stone, Jesse Eisenberg and Abigail Breslin will all reprise their roles. Zoey Deutch, Avan Jogia and Rosario Dawson have also joined the cast.
In Zombieland 2, “Through comic mayhem that stretches from the White House and through the heartland, the Zombie slayers must face off against many new kinds of zombies that have evolved since the first movie, as well as some new human survivors. But most of all, they have to face the growing pains of their own snarky, makeshift family.”
Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick are also returning to write the script. Gavin Polone returns as producer, while Reese and Wernick will also serve as executive producers.
Zombieland 2 hits theaters on October 11th, 2019.
