Considering that David Gordon Green's Halloween made a killing at the box office last year, we all know it was only natural for a sequel to happen. Well a sequel is certainly being developed and Collider reports that a writer has been found for the sequel.
According to the site, Scott Teems is in talks to write the sequel to Halloween, "which will be based on a well-liked treatment Teems has already written for the company."
This comes as no surprise as Teems has become one of Blum’s go-to writers, having adapted King’s book Firestarter and his novella The Breathing Method for Blumhouse.
Halloween stars Jamie Lee Curtis, Judy Greer and Andi Matichak are all expected to return along with producer Jason Blum. David Gordon Green's involvement is unknown at the time. John Carpenter also recently said he would like to return to create the sequel's score.
We can assume Blumhouse would like to have the film out in time for the Halloween season in 2020, as this year seems a bit too soon.
