Released last year, Damien Leone's Terrifier received heaps of praise for its "back to the basics" approach, no holds barred brutality and one hell of a great performance by David Howard Thornton as Art the Clown.
Well, we have some great news for fans who have been anxiously awaiting the announcement of a sequel as Leone revealed today that he's finished the script for Terrifier 2.
"I have officially completed the script to TERRIFIER 2 and it is $&?!#%* INSANE," Leone posted posted on Instagram. "Unfortunately, that is the only confirmation I can give right now but rest assured we’re working hard to bring you more Terrifier as soon as possible and I’m veryyy excited for you to see where Art’s diabolical journey goes from here! He’s back. And He’s badder than ever."
In the first film, Art The Clown returns and sets his sights on two young women, along with anyone else that gets in his way. Terrifier is based on a character from the successful horror anthology franchise All Hallows’ Eve.
Terrifier is currently available to stream on Netflix and on Blu-ray/DVD from Epic Pictures.
