Shortly after his Oscar win for The Shape of Water, Guillermo del Toro was snatched up for so many projects that it's become hard to even keep track of everything he's up to, but we're totally not saying that as a bad thing! One of the upcoming projects del Toro is involved in is an upcoming horror anthology series for Netflix, and Deadline gave us some more details today.
The site reports that the series, titled “Guillermo del Toro Presents 10 After Midnight,“ is set to begin production is set to begin in Toronto.
For both “10 After Midnight” and an unrelated feature film Let It Snow, Netflix “will lease four sound stages along with office space and support space totaling approximately 164,000 square feet at Cinespace Studios and will also lease four sound stages and adjacent office space comprising a total footprint of approximately 84,580 square feet at Pinewood Toronto Studios.”
This isn't much of an update, but it does serve as a reminder that a very cool project is on the way from Guillermo del Toro is on the horizon.
The series will be feature a collection of the Oscar-winning filmmaker’s personally curated stories, both sophistic and horrific. Del Toro will supposedly write and direct some of the stories, and will hand-pick top horror writers and new filmmakers for others.
