Last year, Mike Flanagan created one of the best horror projects of the year with Netflix's “The Haunting of Hill House,“ a fantastic "modern reimagining" of Shirley Jackson's novel.
The first season followed the Crain family and their nightmarish experience with the titular house, and even though Flanagan has promised their story is complete, that doesn't mean the series will end. Today, a follow-up to the supernatural hit series was announced!
Announced in a teaser (below) via Twitter, the second season, titled “The Haunting of Bly Manor,“ will be an adaptation of Henry James’ The Turn of the Screw.
“The novella focuses on a governess who, caring for two children at a remote estate, becomes convinced that the grounds are haunted.”
Flanagan and Tracy Macy's series is expected to feature a new location and new characters, and will premiere in 2020. Stay tuned for more updates!
