Shudder announced today an exciting trio of original podcasts offering candid conversations with many of the most important and iconic figures in the genre: Eli Roth’s History of Horror: Uncut, an expansion of the television series AMC Visionaries: Eli Roth’s History of Horror; She Kills, a podcast by and about women in the horror genre, hosted by Adrienne Barbeau; and Visitations with Elijah Wood & Daniel Noah, a unique series that invites listeners into the lives and homes of some of the most creative figures working in genre entertainment today.
These Shudder Original podcasts follow 2018’s Video Palace, Shudder’s first scripted podcast series, showcased as part of Apple Podcasts’ “Scary Stories” collection. Other recent and announced Shudder Original projects include the feature documentary Horror Noire: A History of Black Horror, now streaming, and the series Creepshow and The Last Drive-In with Joe Bob Briggs, both premiering exclusively on Shudder later this year.
ELI ROTH’S HISTORY OF HORROR: UNCUT (premieres February 22nd)
A companion to the television series Eli Roth’s History of Horror, this Shudder Original podcast takes things to a new level with the full, uncut interviews that Eli Roth and his producers conducted for the show. Over the course of twelve episodes, Eli Roth’s History of Horror: Uncut will offer listeners hours of never-before-heard, candid conversations between Roth and Stephen King, Edgar Wright, Quentin Tarantino, Diablo Cody, Bryan Fuller, Catherine Hardwicke, Victor LaValle, Tippi Hedren, Bruce Campbell, Josh Hartnett, Greg Nicotero and Rob Zombie. AMC Visionaries: Eli Roth’s History of Horror is a seven-episode television series that explores sub-genres like Ghost Stories, Vampires, Slashers, Zombies and Killer Creatures, through interviews with icons and stars who helped define those genres. The series premiered on AMC last October and will be available to stream on Shudder beginning today.
All episodes of the Eli Roth’s History of Horror: Uncut podcast will be made available on Shudder on Friday, February 22nd, exclusively for its members. Episode 1, featuring Roth’s complete conversation with Stephen King, will be made available the same day to non-members on Apple Podcasts and other platforms, where subsequent episodes will be released twice-weekly on Mondays and Fridays.
Eli Roth’s History of Horror: Uncut is hosted by Shudder curator Sam Zimmerman and produced by Liam Finn (producer of the Shudder’s Original podcast Video Palace), with sound design by Jeremy Lee and music by Michael Teoli.

She Kills is a Shudder Original podcast by and about women in horror. Each episode pairs notable women—actors, directors, writers and journalists—in frank and revealing conversations about female representation and inclusion in genre filmmaking. Guests include beloved stars like Barbara Crampton, Jennifer Tilly, and Dee Wallace, genre innovators like Anna Biller, Alex Essoe, and Pollyanna McIntosh, and writers, critics and horror experts like Blaire Bercy, Grae Drake, and Dana Schwartz.

VISITATIONS WITH ELIJAH WOOD & DANIEL NOAH (coming Spring 2019)
Boundary-breaking indie production company SpectreVision—partners Daniel Noah, Josh Waller, Lisa Whalen, and Elijah Wood—has given the world game-changing horror films like A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night and Mandy. Now, Wood and Noah invite listeners to join them as they drop in on some of their most creative friends and colleagues for casual conversations at locations of their subjects’ choosing—at their homes, on set, or in their personal workshops—in the ten-episode Shudder Original Podcast, Visitations with Elijah Wood & Daniel Noah. Episodes will feature visits with filmmakers Ana Lily Amirpour, Taika Waititi, and John Landis, writer Dan Harmon, musician Flying Lotus, and fashion designers Rodarte, among others.
