As we told you last month, Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz director Edgar Wright‘s next film, Last Night in Soho, is said to be “a straight up psychological horror-thriller,” and will be set and London and features Anya Taylor-Joy (The Witch, Split, Glass) in the lead role. As a small update, Variety reports today that both Matt Smith (“The Crown”) and Thomasin McKenzie (Leave No Trace) are currently in talks to join Anya-Joy.
Wright co-wrote the film with Krysty Wilson-Cairns (“Penny Dreadful”).
We know that the film is set in London’s Soho district, but not much more than that in terms of plot details.
Variety adds that "production is expected to start this summer in London.”
