When "The Munsters" premiered back in 1964, actress Beverly Owen played the role of Marilyn Munster, daughter to Lily Munster's sister, for the first 13 episodes of the series. Owen left acting after the first season to raise her children and pursue studies in Early American History and Pat Priest took over the role for the second season.
Sadly, we've just learned that Beverly Owen passed away last week at the age of 81.
“Beautiful Beverly Owen has left us,” co-star Butch Patrick (Eddie Munster) wrote on Facebook. “What a sweet soul. I had the biggest crush on her. RIP Bev and thanks for your 13 memorable Marilyn Munster episodes.
Prior to appearing in "The Munsters," Owen had a brief acting career with roles in “As the World Turns,” “Wagon Train,” “The Virginian” and “Another World.”
