It's rather hard to believe that James Cameron‘s 1989 sci-fi film The Abyss to this date still not been released onto Blu-ray, but it looks like that's about to change...possibly! Though an official announcement has yet to be made, Skip Kimball (Editorial Department, Avatar and Alita) just posted a tease over on Instagram.
"This is happening on stage one this weekend,” Kimball captioned a photo of The Abyss being color graded. Most importantly to note, the photo features the hashtags #4K, #HDR and #Remaster.
We have no further details at this time, but it would seem that The Abyss is being remastered for a home video release, hopefully!
