We're less than a month away from the release of Dennis Widmyer and Kevin Kolsch‘s Pet Sematary, a re-adaptation of King's novel. This time around actor Jason Clarke will be playing the role of Louis Creed, and Games Radar (via Total Film) has shared two new shots of Clarke's Creed.
“I read [the novel] in my early twenties,” Clarke told the site. “Nobody does it better than King. The descriptions of what’s going on are just too much at times – you have to put the book down. I was really fucking disturbed.”
Jeté Laurence will play Ellie Creed, Amy Seimetz (A Horrible Way to Die) as Rachel Creed. Twins Hugo Lavoie and Lucas Lavoie will play the iconic role of Gage Creed. actress Alyssa Brooke Levine has been cast as Zelda, with Obssa Ahmed playing Victor Pascow.
In the new adaptation from Jeff Buhler,
“Based on the seminal horror novel by Stephen King, Pet Sematary follows Dr. Louis Creed, who, after relocating with his wife Rachel and their two young children from Boston to rural Maine, discovers a mysterious burial ground hidden deep in the woods near the family’s new home. When tragedy strikes, Louis turns to his unusual neighbor, Jud Crandall, setting off a perilous chain reaction that unleashes an unfathomable evil with horrific consequences.”
Paramount will release the film on April 5th, 2019.
