Back in 2016, mockbuster giant The Asylum unleashed the shamelessly absurd Zoombies, set in a wildlife park overrun by its undead animal inhabitants. This year, they're releasing a sequel.
Announced via Twitter, The Asylum revealed that the film is arriving "this month," rumored March 26th, 2019, and they also debuted the film's poster/home video art (looking a lot like something out of Annihilation), which you can check out below.
Plot details are currently being under wraps, but in the original film, “When a strange virus quickly spreads through a safari park and turns all the zoo animals undead, those left in the park must stop the creatures before they escape and zombify the whole city.”
Glenn Miller returns to direct and according to IMDb, Caleb Thomas, Erica Sturdefant and Himanshu Prasad will star in Zoombies 2.
Stay tuned for a trailer, plot details and a confirmed release date.
