Larry Fessenden's 'Frankenstein' Inspired 'Depraved' Acquired For Worldwide Rele

Larry Fessenden Depraved Yellow Veil

Arthouse genre sales company Yellow Veil Pictures has acquired worldwide sales rights for indie-horror vet Larry Fessenden’s Depraved, which celebrates its world premiere as the opening night film at IFC Center’s What The Fest!? this week.

Stitching together the pieces of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein, Depraved is a contemporary reimagining of the seminal tale centered on a field surgeon (David Call, The Sinner) who creates a man out of body parts in a makeshift lab in Brooklyn.

"Successful in his attempts but consumed with remorse over what he’s done, Henry tries to protect his creation, Adam (Alex Breaux, Bushwick), from the world. However, as Adam’s development continues, it is no longer clear who needs protecting."

Depraved also stars Joshua Leonard (The Blair Witch Project), Ana Kayne (Another Earth), Chloe Levine (The Ranger), and Addison Timlin (The Town That Dreaded Sundown).

Depraved is produced by Glass Eye Pix and Joe Swanberg’s Forager Film Company.

The film world premieres tomorrow, March 20th at IFC Center’s What The Fest!?.
