One of the best things about Nicolas Cage is his willingness to attach himself to the most bizarre, yet utterly intriguing projects, and THR reports that his next feature (one of many Cage currently has in the works) is no different. Get this, Nicolas Cage will battle an alien invader in the science fiction, martial arts film Jiu Jitsu!
Yep, consider us sold.
Jiu Jitsu will be written and directed by Dimitri Logothetis, which is based on the same-named comic book written by Logothetis and Jim McGrath.
“The film features Alain Moussi as a Jiu Jitsu fighter who every six years must face off against an alien invader, Brax. Cage’s character teams up with him in a battle to defeat Brax.”
“After we successfully reintroduced the Kickboxer franchise to a new generation of martial arts fans with the sixth and seventh entries in the series, we set out to up the ante with a sci-fi martial arts franchise that could bring the same kind of intensity and longevity to a new arena,” said Logothetis.
Be sure to stay tune for more updates on this project!
