If you ask us, the movie world needs to see more of Michael Rooker (Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer, Slither, "The Walking Dead"), and it looks like we're getting just that as Deadline reports that Rooker will be starring alongside Dylan O’Brien in Paramount Players’ Monster Problems, a new monster flick being produced by Shawn Levy’s 21 Laps (“Stranger Things”).
Michael Matthews (Five Fingers for Marseilles) is set to direct the film.
Rooker plays Clyde, an expert hunter who teaches Joel Dawson (O’Brien) how to survive the Monster Apocalypse.
Monster Problems is being described as “a coming of age story about a young man living in a post-apocalyptic world overrun by monsters.”
Brian Duffield and Matthew Robinson wrote the script with the film being eyed as a potential franchise.
