Also in June, the film will be available on Comcast’s Video-On-Demand service. Other streaming platforms will be announced later this year.

The film centers around four tales of horror based on a stolen comic book from a local Curio shop. Those stories features tales of vampires, witches, demons and the titular Latin “boogeyman” El Cucuy. The film was shot in Corpus Christi and San Antonio by director Christopher Ambriz and his crew starting in 2016. The short films in the anthology are Mirror, El Cucuy, The Date and Muerte. Each film carries over from the next film, and has its own distinct South Texas “flavor”.

Muerte: Tales of Horror stars Priscilla Iden, Mario Aguilar, Will McCann, Jessica Golden Mathews, Ashley Lopez Delagarza, Kimberly Cardenas, Andrea Guzman, Eric Delagarza, Michael Jay Salinas, Aileen Corpos, Ronny Holiday, Peter M Howard, Katie Loftin, Berna Towns and Tara Allen.

The anthology is filled to brim with fun loving horror scenarios and handcrafted practical effects sure to please horror fans. The film was featured at the 2018 South Texas Underground Film Festival in Corpus Christi and was awarded best local film by the festival. It has played a limited theatrical run in sold out shows in Corpus Christi, San Antonio and Austin.
