Jason Reitman's Ghostbusters sequel continues to build a solid young cast.
Mckenna Grace, who was last seen playing a young Carol Danvers in Marvel Studio’s Captain Marvel, has joined the film's cast in a lead role, TheWrap reports.
Grace joins the previously announced “Stranger Things” and IT star Finn Wolfhard and Carrie Coon (Widows).
In the film, “A family moves back home to a small town where they learn more about who they are.”
The story centers on a single mom and her children. Mckenna Grace will play the daughter, while Carrie Coon is in talks to play the mom, and Finn Wolfhard is in talks to play her son.
Sony has scheduled Jason Reitman’s sequel to be released on July 20th, 2020.
Reitman’s father, Ivan Reitman, who directed and produced the original 1984 film, will write, direct and produce. Production is set to begin this Summer.
