One of the best vampire films ever created (in my opinion) is Jim Jarmusch's Only Lovers Left Alive, which offered a fresh and unique storytelling angle on vampire lore. Next up, Jarmusch is turning his attention to another form of the undead with The Dead Don't Die, which is being billed as “the greatest zombie cast ever disassembled.” You can also check out the film's poster below.
Today, Focus Features has dropped the first trailer for the film starring Adam Driver (“Girls”, Star Wars), Bill Murray (Zombieland, Ghostbusters) and Chloë Sevigny (Zodiac) as local police officers who are trying to survive the undead threat. It's obvious the film is a comedy, but it doesn't seem to hold back on the violence either.
Tilda Swinton (Only Lovers Left Alive), Selena Gomez (Aftershock, Hotel Transylvania), Steve Buscemi (Fargo, Reservoir Dogs), Austin Butler (The Intruders), Danny Glover (Saw), Caleb Landry Jones (Get Out, Antiviral), Rosie Perez (Birds of Prey), Iggy Pop (“Ash vs. Evil Dead”, Suck), Sara Driver, RZA, Carol Kane and Tom Waits also star.
Focus Features will release The Dead Don't Die in theaters on June 14th.
