One of Netflix's most delightful offerings last year was "The Curious Creations of Christine McConnell," a unique and charming baking show that was equal parts "The Munsters" and the Food Network meets "Pee-wee’s Playhouse." The series was set in the home of baker and artist Christine McConnell, which she shared with a mummy cat named Rankle and a wildly inappropriate raccoon named Rose, along with other creatures. It was part cooking show, part sitcom, and it was totally delightful.
Unfortunately, we've learned today that Netflix will now be renewing the series for a second season.
McConnell just tweeted, “I’m very sad to say, I’ve been told there won’t be another season of The Curious Creations.”
“Thank you to everyone who watched and has supported the series," she added. "Thank you to Henson, Wilshire, Netflix and the amazing people who made the show with me. I’m so grateful.”
What a bummer.
