With Pet Sematary (read our review) currently doing quite well for itself in theaters, the latest of Stephen King adaptations shows no signs of slowing down, and THR reports today that Apple is moving forward with a small screen adaptation of King's Lisey's Story, with King himself writing all episodes!

A few years back, King was asked which of his stories he's most like to see an adaptation of, to which he responded: “Lisey’s Story is my favorite of the books and I would love to see that done, especially now that there’s a kind of openness on the streaming services on TV and even the cable networks."

So it seems King is getting his wish. Even better? It's been revealed that Julianne Moore will star as Lisey in the series!

The series is described as a deeply personal thriller that follows Lisey (Moore) two years following the death of her husband.

“The series explores a series of events that causes her to begin facing amazing realities about her husband that she had repressed and forgotten.”

The adaptation is is being produced by Bad Robot Productions and features an executive producing team of J.J. Abrams, King, Moore, and Ben Stephenson.

Of course, this isn't the first time King and Abrams have collaborated, with the two teaming up in the past for "11.22.63" and "Castle Rock". Julianne Moore also played Carrie's mother, Margaret White, in 2013's Carrie.
