Elisabeth Moss Officially Joins The Cast Of Blumhouse's 'The Invisible Man'

Elisabeth Moss Invisible Man

Easily one of the most exciting announcements of the year is that Leigh Whannell (Upgrade) has written and will be directing a new take on Universal's The Invisible Man for Blumhouse, no doubt an attempt to make up for the failed Dark Universe. The film is said to be lower-budget and character-driven, and casting for the project in now underway.

Back in March, it was rumored that Elisabeth Moss (“The Handmaid’s Tale”, Jordan Peele’s Us) was negotiating a starring role in the film, and Deadline now reports that Moss is officially on board. Rumor has it that Moss will be plating the character who turns invisible, but nothing has been confirmed at this time.

Sources also indicate that Johnny Depp, who was originally tapped to play the title character, will not be involved.
