Paranormal Investigator Lorraine Warren Has Died At Age 92

Lorraine Warren Dies Age 92

In the world of paranormal studies, Ed and Lorraine Warren were already renowned legends, but it's also safe to say that without them, The Conjuring universe would not exist. If anything, the James Wan-created cinematic universe helped raise the duo's prominence to even higher levels. Sadly, we've learned Lorraine Warren passed away this week at age 92.

Warren was born January 31st, 1927, and with the help of her late husband, played a key role in several famous paranormal cases throughout her career, including the infamous "Amityville Horror" hauntings, as well as the "Enfield Poltergeist", Annabelle, and Perron family cases that were recreated on the big screen in The Conjuring films.

Over the years, Ed and Lorraine collected supposedly haunted artifacts from their investigations that are housed in an occult museum that still stands in Connecticut. The oldest and only museum of its kind, it was at one time open to the public, giving those interested in paranormal history a chance to see the various artifacts in person.

The sad news comes to us today from family member Chris McKinnell today.

McKinnell wrote on Facebook, “Last night my grandmother, Lorraine Warren, quietly and peacefully left us to join her beloved Ed. She was happy and laughing until the very end. She was my angel and my hero, and she will be deeply missed. Please join us in celebrating her life and honoring her beautiful soul. Remember to treasure those you love while you can. Thank you and God bless you all.”

Ed Warren passed away in 2006. There's no question that Ed and Lorraine have influenced the horror genre and paranormal investigations for generations to come. Our thoughts are with Lorraine's family and friends during this difficult time.
