Hitting theaters this week, the hotly anticipated Avengers: Endgame has been making quite a buzz in media circles for many reasons, one of them being its insanely long runtime of 3-hours and 1 minute, making it the longest MCU film to date. Though, this makes sense given the film is concluding over 10 years of storytelling. I Spit On Your Grave: Deja Vu, a direct sequel nearly 40 years in the making, saw Meir Zarchi returning to the director's chair to create another feature with an epic runtime.
Get this, the sequel to the 1978 rape-revenge classic runs for a whopping 2 hours, 28 minutes?!
This means I Spit On Your Grave: Deja Vu is nearly a full hour longer than the original film. Why, you ask? We have no idea. You'll have to watch and find out.
Camille Keaton reprises the role of Jennifer Hills with Jamie Bernadette as her daughter, Christy Hills.
In the film, "Incensed that Jennifer Hills was vindicated of killing her rapists decades prior, both mother and daughter are kidnapped by revenge-seeking relatives."
Written and directed by Zarchi, the sequel also stars Maria Olsen, Jim Tavare, Jonathan Peacy, Jeremy Ferdman, Holgie Forrester, Roy Allen and Alexandra Kenworthy.
