It's been nearly two years since the debut of true crime drama "Mindhunter" on Netflix, which was renewed for a second season almost immediately. So where is that second season already, you ask? Well, according to executive producer Charlize Theron, the wait is almost over!
In a recent chat with Howard Stern (relayed by Indiewire), Theron revealed this week that Season 2 of "Mindhunter" will be coming to Netflix in August, though a specific date wasn't announced.
The season will center around "The Atlanta child murders," which were a series of killings that took 1979-1981 and left 28 children, teenagers, and adults killed. All of the victims were African-American.
Not much else is known about the season at this point, but rumors did break late last year that Charles Manson would in Season 2, with Fincher reportedly casting Damon Herriman in the role, coincidently Herriman is the actor playing Manson in Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
Stay tuned for more details.
