Originally set for an October 18th theatrical release, which would put it up against Maleficent 2, we've learned tonight that the upcoming animated The Addams Family will now arrive on October 11th.
That's the same day Zombieland 2: Double Tap hits theaters!
Charlize Theron voices Morticia and Oscar Isaac will voice Gomez, with Chloë Grace Moretz as Wednesday, Finn Wolfhard as Pugsley, Nick Kroll as Uncle Fester, Bette Midler as Grandmama, and Allison Janney as the antagonist Margaux Needler.
The film follows the family as they face-off against a crafty reality TV host (Janney) while also preparing for their extended family to arrive for a major celebration.
Directed by Conrad Vernon and Greg Tiernan from a script by Pamela Pettler (Corpse Bride), with revisions by Matt Lieberman. Vernon produced with Gail Berman and Alex Schwartz. Andrew Mittman and Kevin Miserocchi executive produce.
