Following a mass extinction, a girl raised by a droid begins to ask questions when an injured woman turns up at their high-tech bunker.
Netflix has released the trailer and official poster art for their upcoming sci-fi thriller I Am Mother, which will be hitting the streaming service on June 7th.
While the film carries a similar dilemma to 10 Cloverfield Lane, it does look to feature rich production value and some incredible visuals. Let's hope the story is just as exhilarating!
"A sci-fi thriller about a teenage girl, who is the first of a new generation of humans to be raised by Mother, a robot designed to repopulate the earth after the extinction of humankind. But the pair’s unique relationship is threatened when an injured stranger arrives with news that calls into question everything Daughter has been told about the outside world and her Mother’s intentions."
The film is produced by Timothy White and Kelvin Munro, with a screenplay by Michael Lloyd Green, based on a story by director Grant Sputore and Michael Lloyd Green. I Am Mother stars Hilary Swank, Clara Rugaard, and the voice of Rose Byrne.
