Fox Has Cancelled Vampire Series 'The Passage' After One Season

The Passage Cancelled At Fox

Fox's vampire drama series "The Passage," based on Justin Cronin’s novels, starred Mark-Paul Gosselaar (“Saved by the Bell”) and was executive produced by Ridley Scott. The series premiered back in January and the first season came to an end in March, and we've learned today that the season finale will be the series finale.

Deadline reports Fox has cancelled "The Passage" after one season.

Why? Well, as usual with cancellations, the audience just wasn't big enough.

In the series, When a botched U.S. government experiment turns a group of death row inmates into highly infectious vampires, an orphan girl might be the only person able to stop the ensuing crisis.

In addition to Gosselaar, the cast included Saniyya Sidney, Vincent Piazza, Brianne Howey, Jamie McShane, Caroline Chikezie, and Emmanuelle Chriqui.
