[Trailer] Three New 'Black Mirror' Episodes Hit Netflix This June

Black Mirror Season 5 Trailer Miley Cyrus

After the release of Black Mirror: Bandersnatch last December, “Black Mirror” will return for its fifth season on June 5th, which consists of three new episodes, Netflix announced this week.

Once again, technology is the driving force the stories contained in these three pieces, creating both distraction and temptation for the protagonists. In addition to continuing to comment on the state of social media, this season looks to also dive deeper into the topics of artificial intelligence, smart technology and virtual reality.

Pop sensation Miley Cyrus, Anthony Mackie (Avengers: Endgame), and Topher Grace (BlacKkKlansman) are among the actors starring in "Black Mirror" Season 5.

The cast also includes Yahya Abdul-Mateen II (Aquaman), Damson Idris (Snowfall), Andrew Scott (Fleabag), Nicole Beharie (42), Pom Klementieff (Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2), Angourie Rice (The Nice Guys), Madison Davenport (Sharp Objects), and Ludi Lin (Power Rangers).

For those who don't know, "Black Mirror" is an anthology series that taps into our collective unease with the modern world, with each stand-alone episode a sharp, suspenseful tale exploring themes of contemporary techno-paranoia. Without questioning it, technology has transformed all aspects of our lives; in every home; on every desk; in every palm - a plasma screen; a monitor; a Smartphone – a Black Mirror reflecting our 21st Century existence back at us.

The series is created and written by Charlie Brooker, and executive produced by Brooker and Annabel Jones."
