In recent months, various rumors have been swirling around the web regarding the future of the Evil Dead franchise, but one thing we can officially confirm is that an Evil Dead video game is coming soon!
Last August, Bloody Disgusting broke the news during an interview with Campbell.
"They are doing a video game. A whole immersive kind of dealio," Campbell told the site. "I’ll be Ash for that, because I wouldn’t want someone else’s voice hamming it up."
While some fans have been wondering is Campbell was referring to Ash's arrival on Dead By Daylight, he confirms in a new chat with TV Insider that it's indeed a full-fledged Evil Dead game!
"We’ll see more Evil Dead, that’s for sure. There is an Evil Dead video game out," said Campbell. "A fully immersive video game probably within a year. I’m not sure about the day. There will be variations of that. There won’t be the original Ash anymore. That guy is done."
Bruce Campbell has lent his voice to a handful of video games over the years, including Evil Dead: Hail to the King, Evil Dead: A Fistful of Boomstick and Evil Dead: Regeneration.
