As most of you know by now, Orion will be releasing their Child's Play remake into theaters on the same day as Pixar's Toy Story 4, two very different films for very different demographics.
A few weeks back, Orion took a stab at the beloved kid's franchise by releasing a hilarious movie poster that featured Chucky's bloody shoe walking out of frame with Toy Story's Woody on the ground dead behind him. What makes the poster even greater is that when placed next to the Toy Story 4 poster it appears as though Chucky had walked into the poster and murdered the film's main character.
Well, Orion clearly enjoys fanning the flames (literally) and has now released a second poster in a series of one-sheets. The new art sees Chucky roasting the kid's film by cooking Slinky over a fire. Who will be next? Buzz Lightyear? Hamm? Rex?
In the contemporary re-imagining of the 1988 horror classic, Karen (Aubrey Plaza), a single mother who gifts her son Andy (Gabriel Bateman) a Buddi doll, is unaware of its more sinister nature.
Mark Hamill is the new voice of Chucky and the cast also includes Beatrice Kitsos, Ty Consiglio and Brian Tyree Henry.
Lars Klevberg directed from Tyler Burton Smith’s (Kung Fury) screenplay. Bear McCreary ("The Walking Dead") will provide the film's score.
The two franchises battle for box office supremacy on June 21st, 2019.
