Talk about one hell of an awesome power duo! Deadline reports this afternoon that James Wan and Sam Raimi have signed on for feature film adaptation of Dutch short film The Burden, directed by Nico van den Brink.
The short was acquired last night by JS Entertainment and Starlight Media, with James Wan and Michael Clear’s Atomic Monster and Sam Raimi and Rob Tapert’s Ghost House Pictures set to produce the adaptation.
“The short centers on a young woman visiting her boyfriend’s family home. There, she learns about a sinister history with his creepy neighbor and soon, all kinds of skeletons come out of the closet.”
Atomic Monster and New Line are also adapting Sweet Tooth, another short from van den Brink.
