Bryan Fuller Reassures Fans That No One Has Given Up On 'Hannibal' Returning To Television

Hannibal Series Return

It's hard to believe that we're already approaching four years since the Bryan Fuller-created "Hannibal" TV series came to an end, with the series' third season being its last when NBC made the decision to pull the plug. Despite network television restrictions, "Hannibal" was an ultra-violent slice of horror television gold, and though it did reach a satisfying finale, fans have been hoping for years that it wasn't really the end.

Since the series finale, Fuller has made it very clear that he hasn't given up hope on "Hannibal" returning to television, and he reminds us of that this week.

Responding to a fan's tweet, Fuller stated "No one has given up! I’ve made it clear I want to do it, the cast wants to do it and Martha wants to do it. We just need a network or a streaming service that wants to do it, too. I don’t feel there’s a clock on it or an expiration date for the idea."

"We just need someone to bite," he added.

"I haven’t heard anything specific. I know Bryan is still working on some ideas where we can find a new home for this," star Mads Mikkelsen told Bloody Disgusting, earlier this year. "I also have a strong feeling that everybody who was involved in it would gladly pick up the glove again if that happens. I know that [Fuller] was working to get the rights to Silence of the Lambs so he could get in there and use some of those characters for his own universe. I have a hunch that might be where we’re going."
