New 'Child's Play' Clip Showcases Mark Hamill's Voice Work As The New Chucky

Child's Play Peekaboo Clip Mark Hamill

A lot of negative opinions were changed for the better back when it was revealed that Mark Hamill would be the voice of the new Chucky in Orion and director Lars Klevberg‘s Child’s Play remake, and today a new clip titled "Peekaboo" gives us a better taste of his chilling performance. Also in the clip, we see how the new film evolves the original film's concept, with Chucky using all kinds of household technologies to torment Andy.

In the contemporary re-imagining of the 1988 horror classic, Karen (Aubrey Plaza), a single mother who gifts her son Andy (Gabriel Bateman) a Buddi doll, is unaware of its more sinister nature.

Mark Hamill is the new voice of Chucky and the cast also includes Beatrice Kitsos, Ty Consiglio and Brian Tyree Henry.

Klevberg directed from Tyler Burton Smith’s (Kung Fury) screenplay. Bear McCreary ("The Walking Dead", Godzilla: King of the Monsters) provided the film's score.

Meet your new Buddi on June 21st, 2019.
