Lucky McKee has cemented himself as a favorite among horror fans with films like May and The Woman, and he next returns with Kindred Spirits, which will hold its World Premiere at Chicago’s annual Cinepocalypse Film Fest this Sunday, June 16th (tickets now available).

Thora Birch (Hocus Pocus, Ghost World) leads the cast, with Macon Blair (Green Room) and Caitlin Stasey (Fear, Inc.) also starring.
Birch plays Chloe, a single mother in a relationship with Alex (Blair). Chloe’s life is turned upside down when her sister, Sadie (Stasey) comes home after a long unexplained absence.
Though Sadie seems to want to settle in with her sister and 17-year-old niece (becoming quite a handful herself), she’s actually a deeply disturbed young woman who has a sinister agenda regarding anyone who gets between her and her big sister.
Chris Sivertson (The Lost, I Know Who Killed Me) wrote the script.
